Who Am I?

Artist Statement

Making is a part of me. It started with creating the everyday—babies, bread, clothes, and a home—and evolved into making art about those same things. Motherhood is the primary lens through which I view the world, framing and motivating my work. Domesticity and the female experience are central themes I explore. My art offers an outlet for my hands to unravel the questions, struggles, memories, and thoughts swirling inside me, letting my inner world take form beyond myself. Making artifacts of my experience has become sacred. I create art that is raw, real, and deeply personal, reflecting the messiness and complexity of life. It’s not about selling, but about connection and understanding. I aim to create spaces for dialogue and reflection, focusing on the unseen labor that shapes our lives, and the transformative power of self-exploration and healing.
